The first events of Hamptons Penarth 2012 programme of live music and dinner events are already confirmed and they are delighted to present a superb selection of new shows.
Tickets for each event can be booked in person at Hamptons or by telephone (02920 705 391) with a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Please book early.
Saturday 14th January
We kick off the new year in style with a Titanic themed evening of great music and delicious food. As we set sail we’ll be entertained by the superb Keith Little Trio. Specialising in jazz and swing from the 30′s and 40′s in the style of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and others, this lively three piece also play upbeat jump ‘n’ jive numbers together with a wide repertoire of popular swing numbers. The toe tapping music is the perfect background for dinner on the ocean waves and there will also be an opportunity for dancing. Our dress code for the evening is black tie or Titanic themed outfits for the more adventurous!
Saturday 28th January
We celebrate Chinese New Year – the year of the Dragon with an evening of music and a Chinese themed menu. It’s Chinatown – everyone is flocking to the Emperor’s Club, a haven of modern day chic to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. Vocalist Olivia Jane takes us on a musical journey through the past five decades with a superb selection of soulful classics and modern up-beat numbers.

Friday 10th February
A superb show featuring the incredible talents of Miss Julia Martin paying tribute to the biggest selling female artist of all time – Celine Dion.
Sit back and be entertained with all of Celine’s greatest hits from her first USA number one “The Power of Love” in 1994 to her latest album releases. If you’ve already enjoyed a Julia Martin show at Hamptons you’ll know that Simply Celine is a show not to be missed. If haven’t yet seen Julia Martin as one her legendary ladies then now is your chance.
Tuesday 14th February
We celebrate Valentine’s Day in the company of David Longden who makes his debut at Hamptons for an evening of romantic crooning.
David’s diverse range of musical genres truly glows at he moves effortlessly from the classics of Josh Groban to musical theatre and the sing numbers of artisits such as Michael Buble.
Throughout the evening we’ll be serving a delicious five course dinner.
Friday 9th March
If you’re a fan of Motown & Soul music this is definitely a show not to miss. Richmond Soul - Chris Johnsonand Steve Giles – are two immensely talented, entertaining and engaging vocalists with fantastic personalities. They deliver a stunning performance with an energetic and fun edge covering classic Motown and Soul hits.
Saturday 10th March
Classical crossover artists Samantha Link and Bruce Anderson make their debut at Hamptons, with a fabulous evening of music. “Classical crossover” incorporates songs from almost all musical genres including famous songs, musicals, light classical pieces and pop, sung with classical vocals. This musical style has been popularised by performers such as Katherine Jenkins and Russell Watson. Samantha and Bruce have been wowing audiences individually and together and Samantha is famous for her fabulous frocks!
Friday 23rd March
There are songs and performers that evoke memories and define eras. In Legendary Ladies, Giselle Summers uses her superb vocal powers to re-create the best of the best: songs by Dusty Springfield, Bette Midler, Judy Garland and many more. The show includes much loved favourites including You Don’t have to Say You Love Me, From a Distance, Son of a Preacher Man, The Man That Got Away, Ain’t no Mountain High Enough and so many more. Memorable songs brought to life by an astounding singer who loves them as much as you do.
Saturday 24th March
We’re delighted to present a fantastic tribute to the international star, heart throb and Welsh legend that is Tom Jones. The very energetic and charasmatic Glen Leon joins us for an evening that celebrates his music. Glen possesses a voice full of power and raw energy and has been described as the closest you will come to the voice of Tom Jones as well as the voice of a young Tom Jones.
Friday 20th April
We celebrate spring with an evening of cocktail jazz and swing. We’re joined by the Graham Watkins Jazz Quartet and vocalist Clare Hingott. Clare and the boys have been regulars at Hamptons and make a welcome return for this event. Their programme of swing and jazz includes hits made famous by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole amongst others.
